A Demonstration
Take the graph of π¦ = π₯Β² that looks something like this:
Take any two numbers π and π which we would like to multiply together. Let us say π = 5 and π = 4 . We find these points on the graph of π¦ = π₯Β² taking π or π on either side of the axis:
Next we simply draw a line that connects these two points:
The point where the line intersects the y axis is your answer of a times π!
